    Desert Hill 1942
    Gazala
    Aberdeen
    Tobruk
    El alamein
    Supercharge
    Desert rose
    Sand storm
    Kasserine pass 1943
    Battle of Mareth line
    Bizerte 1943
    Tunis 1943
    Operation: Rattrap

13 maps? This is a huge number! I propose four ways to handle them:

    1) Lowering playing time down to 30 minutes for every map (sadly it will be still too much: approx. 6,5 h as a summary, excluding loading time)

    2) Splitting this list into two days event (however I know you won't like this) OR Throwing away few of them which were played lately.

    3) Moving event starting time back to 6pm

    4) Decent sized and spreaded maps like Battle of Mareth line, Bizerte 1943, Tunis 1943 should be played as first, when there is high amount of players. Usually most of people are gone before 22pm during Sunday events.

I'm clear that a combination of certain of above points have to be applied.

I agree with Mr J on starting a bit sooner and throwing out a few maps. Also will we do event on Saturday instead of Sunday? Two events ago we did well on Sunday but I think that was only due to the European holiday weekend. Last weekend it felt like we dropped off players more rapidly than we do on regular Saturdays.

Maps I think we should dropp would be: El Alamein, Aberdeen, Gazala, Desert Rose, and possibly Tobruk. We might as well do without the standard FH maps because most of us have played them a lot already. However Supercharge and Kasserine arent played quite so often so it would probably be good to include them if possible.

I wouldnt be against a two day event though, but Im not sure how well that would go. Could do them right in a row, Saturday then Sunday.

Please stay on one day per weekend, from my experience the 2 day events only divided the players which resulted in max 15-20 players per day. I think you picked the right maps to drop @GreenShift, but Anna is going to murder you. biggrin

I also realised that player count drops really fast after only 2-3 maps. sad
I would be okay with moving day and/or time and I also think that we reach most of our players now via Forum/Mail/Facebook. So why not try it?

    This is nuts!
12 maps on a sunday, that's too many, anyway!
You are "wasting" maps, better spare some and lets have a two-days-event or two seperate events...

Hmm so let stay with the following list (9 maps, 30 minutes every, huge maps at first, no time order OR 40min but starting at 18pm). The dropped maps can be played next Sunday after the incoming event as Marduk says (if there will be no another theme ideas).

    Desert Hill day1
    Battle of Mareth line
    Tunis 1943
    Sand storm
    Kasserine pass 1943
    Bizerte 1943
    Supercharge
    El Alamein
    Operation: Rattrap

I also realised that player count drops really fast after only 2-3 maps.

This happens because events start too late. 7pm is fine for Saturday but not for Sunday...

    EDIT:
    Have a poll:
    Sunday or Saturday?

I say Sunday, 18pm, lets make a test

18 CET ??? I think is not good, better 19 ( on saturday ) for all players from EU, USA and Canada.
If we start at 18 after the first hour a lot of player quit to have dinner. Ok, best solution is some beer and a pizza near the pc cool . But you are not from spaghettiland so your pizza is toooooo bad tongue ( ok, american food is the worst one... Green, that's for you biggrin )

Definitely Saturday I would say. Sunday event was good when it was European holiday weekend but last weekend we dropped players very rapidly because of school and work the next day IMO.

I would be OK with starting at 18, cant say for sure about everyone though. @Lampo the only food thats ours is fast food which is awful and should be banned lol

    Come on guys.
    1. Just watch the statistics on gametracker and you'll see that on event-sundays we always reach a significant apex regarding the amount of players. And our Event-Sundays are the days with the most players in the whole week. So it works out pretty well!
    2. We do our events on sundays for about a year - people are used to it.
    3. The wish alone that we might have more players on event-saturdays doesn't lead to having more players on a saturday!
    4. Saturdays include as many problems for certain players as sundays do for others.

conclusion: never change a running system!

Moving up the events on sunday 6 pm would be a sensible change because at this time pretty often already 10-15 people are on the server.

my word! Sunday 7pm CET is the best time to focus the community! we try friday, saturday, monday,..... but the best day is sunday, not for everyone but for the most.

Why not make a poll on the front page and simply ask the players? It can't be that difficult. tongue smile

Well, a poll includes the high possibility that only 10-25% of the players vote. Look at other polls. Dunno exactly but I reckon not more than 10-12 people vote in average. These people are just a random selection and dont represent the other (I reckon 40-60) regularly players.

I meant on the front page not in the forum. On the last poll we did, prior to the "Raid on Japan" event, we had over 60 votes I think.

Hello veterans! I think that the events should take place on Fridays and / or (if a two-day) rather Saturdays at 18, up 17.30 than 19 because sometimes hard to survive to the end;-). Sunday to me, is less fortunate because some of us go early in the morning to work on Monday :-( (If, I repeat, if an event has a variety of reasons would be held on Sunday is for those reasons, I would suggest as the earliest start time eg 17 or, at least 18 my view, the optimal date of event is Saturday. Well, of course;-), and Friday greets the brave warriors of Polish Pomerania - Vau. biggrin

Damn!!! That map is grown to a very nice thing!!! It´s amazing! I really want to test this map with 25 or so players. That will be pure fun I think!

@Robert: we definitely gonna do that!
We are going to have a "Berlin"-Event with
    1. Spring awakening (starts at 7pm)
    2. Seelow Heights (starts between 7:30-7:45 pm)
    3. Berlin Outskirts (starts between 8:00-8:30 pm)
    4. Berlin Streets (starts between 8:30-9:15 pm)
    5. Berlin 1945 (starts between 9:00-10:00 pm)

Regarding "Berling 1945": It is going to start between 9:00-10:00 pm when the number of players is at its apex!

First, we need to introduce our community to delete the useless PFC-files, but then
It is gonna be work! smile
