Everybody can post event ideas in this thread.

Our idea of events is to play maps that cover a certain battle or theatre or that are in some kind similar, like the art of warfare (infantry, tanks, navel, etc.).

The event maplist is in correct historical order.

To get an idea how to pic maps for an event have a look at older events http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/3-41-1 or download the maplist here: http://fhsw-europ.ucoz.de/forum/4-661-1

I wonder if the Edson's Ridge Battle can end too fast, so I think we should have a rematch for the team to lose if it's a very quick match. with that would be more fun, than just playing Edson's Ridge for less than 10 minutes!  smile

for the Great Battles series:

Counterattack
Chartres

or

Salerno
Sector 318?

I think Chartres and Sector 318 would fit: Infantry- in the first and tank-fights in the second battle.

Btw I increased the ticket ratio on Battle of Edsons ridge from the usual 109 to 200 yesterday and the battle lasted at least between 20 and 25 mins if I remember correct.

Chartres and Sector 318 sounds good, does this event occur in this week?

I felt that Edson's ridge lasted the longest.  cool

Chartres could become a problem though. Either the battle gets stale without much variety in gameplay or either axis or allied team get trapped inside their main base. We'll see.

@Bubu, Xenanab: thanks for feedback! I had the same thoughts about Chartres, but I also expect lots of dynamics with many players.

Chartres was very intense with more than 40 players and one of the best Great Battles so far I think. It was open who would win for most of the time. In the end Allies won but Axis did not get trapped in their main and always held at least one flag. I can't remember who won Sector though biggrin Probably Germans due to superior tanks? Can someone else report please? biggrin

On Sector-318 the Axis won, but not by a lot. It was balanced, competitive and intensive overall.

I also had an idea: Night maps

Raseiniai
Battle of Edsons ridge
Arctic Convoy
The Merville Battery
Battle of Leyte Gulf
Battle of Luzon
Bombing the Reich
Spurning Fate
Wake Night

It could be either one event with a selection of those or a two-days event.
