fo0k has created a new huge map, it looks gorgeous (for BF1942)! Still way too big for my liking though.

I have just test this map and its F*** Big! I love it and for me we can use the same size. Bombing of America with Gotha Jet Bombers (America Bomber) and American Bell P-59 Airacomet jets and much more. Also American ships for the AA guns. Can be nice! One target -> America City and War industry. I love maps like Kikusuy, Bombing the Reich etc. Big and you need to do a distance to reach the target. We have a lot of those maps, but German bombers attacking Allieds with this style? We don't have that. There are a few people who want to see the America Bomber, well this is the good map for it. Make it big, huge!

Hey, I don't know if this forum is still alive but I've modified BF1942's Omaha Beach.
I've removed most of the 'red borders' and I've add some settings.

PS: I don't know how to upload a picture or stuff to FHSW forum.

*Destroyers are gone and players spawn at the edge of England with landing crafts provided.

*Axis have three Stukas provided

*101st Airborne will paradrop behind enemy lines with 3 jeeps and 1 Sherman tank provided.

*3 more control points added behind the Garrison that it's initial team is Axis but cannot recapture after captured by Allies.

@Fritz, do you mean by German Airfield are Greenland or Newfoundland?

@fhsw, I'd get rid of the Sherman tank for the 101st Airborne, they didn't have that type of heavy equipment during their drop, I think the heaviest thing they would've had is an airborne version of the Stuart tank, but using a M5 Stuart would work just as well. Also I'm guessing Fritz either means the German airfield is in Europe and the flight distance is the Atlantic, or it's somewhere in North America where a body of water would separate the targets of the bombers.

@Benjamin, maybe an AT jeep would be also suitable.
Having 1st and 2nd Rangers Division invading the beach while having the 101 infiltrate
the German defense would be awesome! Fallschirmjagers would be the backup
soldiers in case the Garrison is overrun.

We are talking about REAL TEAMWORK without removing the player's entertainment.

I think a map like this would be ideal for a large scale objective mission. What I have in mind is having a long range rail cannon, such as the Dora Rail Cannon (which was used in the Siege of Sebastopol by the Germans on the Eastern Front) having to destroy fortified positions dozens of miles away. Could be an idea.

We would need radio communications to do that. Spotters are important for this type of mission.
OR, Spetznaz paratroop near the rail gun and use explosives to destroy components
like the ammunition depot, railway tracks and the rail gun itself.

Perhaps it would be useful for a Hiroshima or Nagasaki map. You get one B-29 with large amounts of health and and several F4Us and F8Fs and have to fly across the whole map (mostly composed of water with the target in a corner) while at the same time, there are many areas where Japanese planes spawn. The B-29 can only be repaired while it has fighter escorts flying alongside and all gunner positions are filled. This also allows the plane to reload on ammo in case the atom bomb is dropped too early.

The same could also apply for a Firebombing of Tokyo map. Imagine any of these with 128 players. You could have 40v40 fighter plane battles in one sector of the map while the bombers are attempting to fend for themselves against kamikaze attacks.

I think your first idea is very original and creative, I really like it! I would love to have an atom bomb objective map.
