| As already said, running battlegroup on this server is a bad idea because it takes attention away and its arcade-ish gameplay does not appeal to many in our community (me included) and isn't fit for competitive gaming.
(Mr_J's previous request for BG42 was downvoted by the majority)
However i think we should not shelve this thread yet.
I particular I ike the idea of having BF1918 seperately installed
Why? Because it is a well made mod with unusual setting and its community is unfortunately dead
Also this year marks the hundredth anniversary of the beginning of WW1, a BF1918 event would be the perfect commemoration

I haven't experienced any crashes with BF1918 maps and i doubt there are such problems.
The last version (3.1) was betatested before release.
Be sure to have the right version and all 3 parts installed.
edit: I tested all listed 1914 maps on the dfl server (except for Raid on fort Pontisse and Tabuaeron objective which weren't on the server)
no crashes experienced

| I've uploaded BF1918 to our server now and tested two maps, seems to run fine. I still would like to do a BF1918 event sometime this year.

| I love it I love it I love it! We must do this event/mod at least one more time, if it goes well and we have good turnout we can do it again or put it on as a secondary mod. Btw, when I use to try to play on the old BF1918 servers, I could never join because it said I had the wrong version?? I downloaded it from Moddb.com, is there another site that I should be downloading it from? I never had any crashes occur though.

Battlefield Remote Manager. It's the client side part of BFSM (Battlefield Server Manager) and allows to remotely manage BF1942 server, like changing maps or server properties.

Should work now, I didn't know you have to restart the server after changing the map rotation.

Just thought I'd inform you all that if you download BF1918 from Moddb.com it does work on server version, or at least it does for me, thank you Eye for providing "Amiens" for me to test it out on.  Added (2014-06-06, 1:00 AM)

OK, just because this thread hasn't received any attention over the past few days, what are the chances we can do a bf1918 event for the 100th anniversary in late July/August, could we possibly even make a tournament out of it? Just as a kind of sentimental thing, remembrance.
