Hi everyone! Even though I'm just a Private to the game but I still like it!! Okay, now for the topic, I like being the Artillerymen in both BF42 and FHSW. Now the problem comes up. When for example you're playing any desert map. ('Cause it's perfect to perform a barrage)
The flat hill is the location of your artillery. The convoy is your target then using the knife you measure the distance between you and the target. The convoy will be about more than -20 degrees (i'm not sure) from your horizon. Then the tank fits the 325 M bar (for example and we chose the tank 'cause it's obviously big) then you fire the artillery with that number. But unfortunately it either overshoots or undershoots. So, is there any solution to this? Sorry for the very very very long text.
SEE YA!!!

Forget about your range finding tools and trigonometry tables and whatever... and just get a feel for it. Remember that when you are shooting away from the horizon (either up or down) the trajectory will be flatter. Thus you would need to get your crosshairs a little closer to the target. Why bother with conscious math calculations when you can simply fire by feel, or by guess, watch where your shot goes and then correct accordingly? Air Troll a.k.a. starking018
