Just to put in my two cents' worth, the map has never crashed for me and it is occasionally fun to play with a small amount of people on.

I can confirm that river kwai can occasionally crash the server.

Have never crashed on Kwai but then again have never really played it with more than 6 people.

I used diff tool and here is the list of different files in game.rfa:


I made a quick look on one file, and it seems that they lowered damage on ground vehicles by 43,8%.

And in objects.rfa only Weapons.con in objects\Vehicles\Land\Common differs.

But I think you confused it, from what I can see they actually increased the damage for these projectiles.

Example:
88mmL71APCR.con

Current:
MaterialManager.attGroup 478
MaterialManager.defGroup 30
MaterialManager.damageMod 17.49

NEW:
MaterialManager.attGroup 478
MaterialManager.defGroup 30
MaterialManager.damageMod 31.12

Now compare that with the damage the regular 88mmL71 (non APCR) projectile does:

MaterialManager.attGroup 229
MaterialManager.defGroup 30
MaterialManager.damageMod 24.49

Less damage than the special armor piercing round! So possibly a bug with all the AP rounds which they fixed. When playing with the PzIV J I was always confused why the shell did so little damage, now I know why.

I think we should upload this file to our server, anyone disagrees?

Could you fix the SU152 penetration code on the occasion so that it gets useful against armor?

I had that tank exactly in mind. What about the AT guns?! It seems they are quite useless too?! Perhaps anyone could examine the specifications?!

The damage values are all carefully calculated by the devs taking into account shell weight, velocity and penetration values from real-life so I won't change them.

When you notice weird things like SU152 doing no damage it's almost always related to the sloped armor effect. Damage of the SU-152 drops significantly at 120 mm but it still deals damage against up to 400 mm of armor.

Edit: You should also try switching to the HE shells, it's a guaranteed one hit kill up to 90 mm armor. (Elefant side armor 80 mm)

Edit2: @Robert: This fix is not only for AT rounds of tanks but also AT guns, for example 76mmL41,9APCR.con is the ZiS-3 and 57mmL73.con is ZiS-2. smile

Su-152 is fine actually, yes I said that....you just need to get in close, and yes the sloped armor is the weakpoint for that gun, the gun can shred a tiger from range but not a panther.
