Hello!
I have a problem which is frustrating since I play the game and come to the forum.

1.The text in the game is so hard to read that even max resolution can't help it

PS: I can't get it from my own.
As you can see, the text is a bit pixelated. And I have to angle my glasses everytime to read it.

2. I have a complaint. I can't read GERMAN!!! There's one guy I don't remember his name which has the
avatar of Gen. Rommel. I can't understand the forum each time he's there!

IF I was RUDE, then I'll be sorry.

I found you posted the miniature of the underneath YouTube video...
The screenshot you've posted looks hideous because it got worsened after being compressed by the YouTube.


In case you did mean your actual gaming experiences, not the watching of YT videos, then I think there are 2 possible causes of your problem:

1. Perhaps you don't use native resolution of your display screen.

or

2. The AntiAliasing value you have set is too excessive

Also you may try the 1080p user interface mod

Well, my answer will be rude as well. If you are not able to understand German language then simply start learning it. wink German speaking players make up the largest national group among all the players here so sometimes it is easier for them to find a help using their native language.

Oh, okay..... I'll try learning it. If I can't then I'll learn japanese instead since I always play the PrinceUmeboshi server, which is japanese most of the time.
I only play the europe server at random times while waiting for japanese evening/night.

Hallo, Ich bin ein Speghetti-essen, Ich hab' deutsch gelernt ( is it right ??? ) zu spielen FHSW nur.
now my german is better than my italian  shutup

Acer CRT  20inch X ??inch? wacko
1600 X 900 resolution 32 bit color (also in-game)
That's the max resolution I have.

So it seems like you have a widescreen LCD. CRT is the older technology, like this one: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,1589939,00.asp
For playing games I would recommend a CRT like the one above, which can be bought for very little money. With it you can play Battlefield in 1400x1050 or 1600x1200 and it works very well. However, many people don't want to use a CRT monitor for various reasons.

For your 1600x900 LCD monitor you should do this:

Make sure you install the fix from "Compatibility FIX for FH 0.7" folder found in this .zip file:

Then install this widescreen patch (there is another widescreen patch in the above .zip file, but I think this one should be better):
http://team-simple.org/download/bf1942-v1.61-nocd-widescreen-fix.zip

Then start the game, type something in the chat and see if the text is OK. If the text is still too hard to read then make a screenshot by pressing the Print Screen key (or "Prt Sc" or something like that) if you have such a key on your keyboard. Then open MS Paint and press Ctrl+V to paste it.
Press Image -> Attributes... and enter Width: 500 and Height: 500 to make the image file smaller. Press OK. Press File -> Save as... and then in "Save as type" select PNG. Save the file somewhere. Then here in this forum you can attach this file with your reply (see where it says "Attach file:" and then click "Browse..." and select your file).
