Hey all, making this thread for BF1918 event's planning so we can keep planning for FHSW events separated and tidy.

Please post your suggestions for those here smile

Jan Pauls suggestion:

Quote
About BF1918 event, I can suggest exotic maps for event -
A ) African & Asian maps:
Bismarck Archipel
Riverrun
Sanaga River
Tabuaeran
Tanga
Tsingtao
or
B ) Near East / Ottoman maps:
Baghdad
Basra
Besika Bucht
Broken Hill
Desert Winds -or- Desert Winds Raid (first one is pure air map, second is desert inf+tanks assault)
Fao Landing
Gallipoli
Gaza town
Scimitar Hill

Second variant is big, so maybe split on two events
Also, order is alphabetical, but maybe set it in historical order/relying on players numbers order (small in beginning, big later)

Here is a link to the spreadsheet with all BF1918 maps:
Code

Please post your suggestions and ideas smile

Basilone did you just put all maps from the mod in events?

Hates too quick judgement.

Should be though I might have missed a map. I didn't include the ones Bubu had marked for Test though they should work with 3.2b. Adding Midway to the Colonies 1914 would allow it to be broken into 2 parts since there would be 9 maps.

Basilone

So you set up an Bf1918 event (28 March 2020 - 7 PM) and then no admin (this is NOT my job - it is your project!) is on the server to set the maps at that time - are you serious?!

[FHSW]Europe wouldn't be where it is now if we would have worked that sloppy in the last years. So please when you set up an event make sure there is an admin on the server to set the maps at the time it is supposed to start!

Otherwise you shouldn't announce events, or you want that we get a reputation of "yea, they have set up an event but maybe it does not take place."

Take it easy Marduk,
sometimes random unpredicted actions can happen and somebody cannot be on admin duty (for example getting drunk, etc.. cool  ).
In that case we look forward for your help.

If I can,  its FHSW community ,built and based on fh fhsw community, we have many people whom dont want to play bf1918
I do not mind, but I think its overstatement to put a bf1918 event so often.  Even i did see communicat on FHSW main server about "each saturday bf1918 event" - definitely not for me and many other its dissappointing

well I believe bubu didn’t do it on purpose today, something must have happened ... for him not to get in time and set up the maps ... we can forgive! don't be mad at our dear bubu marduk.

well, on the events all saturdays took place, we can do a saturday yes and another no. I think this solves people's problem of playing fhsw in larger quantities.

---------------------------------------------
we can give the right to administer the bf1918 server to other people on the day of the event, such as E-3, Air Troll and others of trust, and of course, if they want to. this can solve the problem and maybe it won't happen again!

I WhatsApp bubu to get the port number I could finally administrate the server but then out of the blue my internet started failing    and I'm not kidding you can look at my streams it was constantly up and down.

I'm an old bf1942 player I go far back all the way to 2002
and I also play cnc generals.

Lol I didn't even have the remote manager login data until last night nor was I informed that no "admin on duty" would show up.
So I could do shit..
