Anyone seen this? Huge list of all the mods this thing has taken content from. Was wondering, was it with permission? Highly doubtful as a number of those mods are hard to get into contact with devs.

honestly i doubt he got persmission from anyone, but i asked him with a comment.. the mod looks crap anyway still has reloading planes and vanilla tanks

Lots of people use fhsw stuff for their mods or other stuff

some guy from WoT practically took the sound part of the sound and texture part for world of tanks and made a mod

The creator of the S&T pack also didn't record these sounds by himself he used sounds from several movies or games like CoD 1&2.

What a lack of respect towards the modelers, modders and mappers of these mods who probably even paid to have some models ported into their mods.

I used to use content from other mods in my maps, about a few years back. I think most of us at some point borrowed models from other big name mods in the past to do our projects. Then we realize its a huge no no. It's always better to use original content.

Copying code from mod to mod however isn't that much of an issue.

Unfortunately, those huge conversion mods seem to be the trend lately. It seems those devs are just too lazy to implement new content into BF1942, so they just rip other models from other mods. Sad. On BFMods, you can find more mods of the sort.
