Sounds cool but it could be just a random pic he uploaded for whatever reason, I just wish we had someone who could translate Japanese properly.

There is a map Operation sealion already. Many years ago FH developed a historic landingcraft (Landwasserschlepper) that is like a Schnellboot with tracks but I don´t know if they accomplished it. It´s this one klick

I remember playing a Operation Sealion map on the old TDP server which was quite good.
(Not simply a reskinned&modified Omaha Beach to which Robert refers to)

It is this one: http://battlefield2.filefront.com/file/Operation_Sea_Lion;35707
originally made by Bumsoft for FH fanmappack but was rejected
yes it has some flaws of object placement and especially textures however i think it is a good base

I have the TDP mappack and they're all pretty nice maps. The Sealion map is very well done, IMHO, though I do agree there are some flagrant texture issues.

We should consider some of them.

I think its important in any sealion map to incorporate the british defensive plans like the stop lines and the GHQ line. Also i think that after a few flags are captured the british should have some destroyers spawn, as if the invasion had happened you can be sure the royal navy would have showed up in the channel at some point.

I wouldn't say that, TDP/PFC mappacks are for the most part custom bf42/fh maps made by others, maps from other mods (battlegroup, norwegian resistance) or crap. I for my part don't think we need to give them any credit (1. because they took credit from others and 2. because grabbi can suck my ****)

My point is that we could also use custom maps which are publicly distributed (i'm thinking in particular of this one, Fall Rot and Pearl Harbor project) but we need to give the mappers credit.

best way of making sure we dont lose players because they dont have map pack  is to decide on a list of maps before the next release of FHSw so devs can include them all in next build..

"If" they decide to include this or that map.
And yes i'm thinking of a mappack, a FHSW Europe mappack with custom maps made by this community and conversions/modifications of existing maps. We could play them on a special day in the week and label the pack according to the FHSW version with which we play it, e.g. [FHSW] Europe mappack for 0.51 v1

Did anybody ever tell you guys that you can get very confusing, very fast; because I think I might. Are you guys saying that there have been maps published that aren't included in FHSW .51 and all the PFC Mappack Maps and etc.?

yes ure right. There are a lot maps that are presented to the community but didn´t make it into the mod or a mappack. Some are very nice, many not happy

Is there a specific place I can get these and do you recommend any that you think I should get or need to get for further gameplay?
