Many thanks! I was trying to remember where I heard it. You evoked so many strong memories - I used to play this game a lot.

Although I do not write music, I have played violin and piano for thousands of years now.
I found the best type of music for our game would be softer music like finest hour, and a few medal of honor tracks so it does not detract from the overall gameplay.

heavy choir music is a bit too distracting, it does make music sound more epic, but sometimes it is not necessary as in the case for 1942.

The remagen track has to be used for remagen  biggrin

I know that, thats why I said that, the new one should have more diverse songs, we'll sort it all out.
Mayer what do you think of the ww2 in color theme? I was going to extend it later, we could use it as the loading theme for the maps, honestly im getting a bit tired of hearing the same loading song over and over  sad

It may be possible to modify BF42 to load different loading songs for each map just like the newer Battlefields.
I'll look into it.

Ok then, I have a lot of songs that could be loading songs, strong, but soft music, with emotion and stuff.

MOH Allied Assault Main Theme

Saving Private Ryan: Finding Private Ryan

I mean songs like that those, soft, lots of strings, piano, with emotion and feeling smile put some life into the maps  happy not too fast or crazy, just enough to give them emotion  happy

MOH Allied Assault Main Theme

Well and i think this wouldn't fit as background theme. It's much too patriotic for my taste.
This isn't particulary against americans but i don't want to hear some yankee doodle while playing as german soldier in france tongue

Loading music for Italian maps: Panzers: Phase Two - Italian ambient calm

Maybe a good song for Finnish or Hungary maps: Panzers: Phase Two - Balkan ambient calm
Well, in the original game this was used for the Yugoslav partisan campaign, but it fits happy

And for deserts: Panzers: Phase Two - Desert Ambient Calm
