Sepp from what I've heard the Jagdtigers were used AFTER the americans captured the bridge, but before they weren't there. but were in the areaI'm just making this suggestion to encourage more infantry fighting on the bridge.
While retreating Army Group B under Field Marshal Walter Model on the right side of the Rhine 1945 Rhine bridges should all be blown up by the will of the Wehrmacht leadership. U.S. troops broke in their advance on March 7, 1945, some detonating cord at the Ludendorff Bridge; also the Wehrmacht had less (300 kg instead of 600 kg) and less effective explosives (dynamite instead Donarit) as planned. This was ignited. The blast lifted the bridge just out of their camps, but did not destroy it, which enabled the Allied troops, the Rhine crossing and to accelerate their advance to the "heart" of Germany. From the German side was tried in vain in the sequence, to destroy the bridge. The bridge finally collapsed on 17 March and the Einsatzt the hunting tiger took place from 10/03/45
