As you may have guessed from the thread name, I've updated S&T pack for 0.621, and added map specific textures (read here for more details).

DL link: https://drive.google.com/file....ve_link

Installation instructions:
  • Delete STFHSW in your Mods folder
  • Unzip archive contents into Mods folder. Overwrite if prompted

    Changelog:
  • Some minor tank engines' sounds changes
  • Deleted No.2 firing sound, as new vanilla one is way better

    ====================================================================================================

I've also updated my addition to S&T pack to 0.6. No changes so far, but I'm planning to add some new sounds for naval guns soon.

    DL: TBA

Attention! I've found a bug in Berlin-1945 map file, which caused game to crash upon joining the server with the map on.
Thus, please redownload the S&T pack or just extract this archive to the STFHSW folder: https://drive.google.com/file....sharing

These sounds are realistic or closer to the reality of the era of these ships the sound of the shot looks very good but fhsw is a bf with a very great realism compared to the other normal bf 1942.

But the sound is fantastic this is just my opinion.  smile

One thing, I was downloading the S&T pack and an error occurred and I had to reinstall I do not know if it was exactly an error of the downloaded archer or an
error my what I did was to extract the file and paste the contents in it in the folder fhsw and soon after done This was crashing.

It has been downloaded: DL linkhttps://docs.google.com/uc?id=0....ownload

What happened and how can I do it right?

You have to extract the contents of the archive, namely FHSW folder with init.con file and STFHSW folder, into <BF1942 directory>/Mods. Probably I should make the installation instruction more clear.

I think I understood I was transferring file by file, have to extract the folder completely?

I dunno if it's only me but my BF1942 process crashes or freezes while loading the Korsun with the ST Pack turned on. Anyone else?

Me too.... BUT it happened already before the S&T pack.
    Something's wrong with that map.
I mostly get disconnects when approaching the central hill area. And one time I got disconnected when using the knife zoom ....

We lost about 10 playes on that map. Players constantly got disconnected (including me) and tried to reconnect, failed and left. There must be some glitch.
Once I also got disconnected when approaching the central hill area.

Well, I was able to play it for 20 minutes and even without getting disconnected. It seems that different bugs and crashes pop up for different players (e.q. Vano was unable to load any map locally with S&T pack).

Btw, I have created GitHub repository with S&T to track changes more easily.

    S&T Pack update:

  • Removed old SU-152 textures

From now, I will provide links for .7z archive, as it's approximately 200 Mb smaller than usual .zip:

Could any admin or moderator put those in the first post, as I can't edit it anymore?

I did. I opened that .z7 archive and the root folder inside is ...\STFHSW\Archives and animations.rfa is missing. Is this intentional?

Also what about permanently puting these numoreous tiny ST additions into ST itself? I don't really like the idea of having an addon for an addon for an addon (...). I thought about the bellow ones, the rest of them is not really necessary:

    map specific textures
    MG15 fix
    Realistic Gun sounds
    DShK38 sound
    Lightmaps
    Ragdolls
    your custom naval sounds

    EDIT:
BTW Could you include the following line in the Eastern_Blitz.rfa/init.con, so that green painted PZL.23b spawns instead of the brownish? I had made this texture variant specifically to fit the Eastern Blitz scheme but Devs have forgotten to use it. It works online.
    Code
    textureManager.alternativePath texture\SPECIAL_POL_GREEN

Oops, my bad, should be fixed now. As for animations.rfa, this is one that adds ragdolls, I included it in S&T pack by mistake, but if nobody minds I can keep it.

AFAIK, I believe eYe included some of them earlier:
    map specific textures - included
    MG15 fix - included
Realistic Gun sounds - Are those ones from old customization thread?
    DShK38 sound - included
Lightmaps - The only - but very serious problem - is that the DL link is dead. If anybody has a copy and can share it, I would be grateful.
Ragdolls - well, technically it's included in pack already (though by mistake)
your custom naval sounds - those aren't ready yet, as I haven't found sounds for some Japanese and British naval guns, and besides, those already done need some volume adjustment. I'll surely include them ASAP.

    Done.
