@Ben I don't think it's a problem if it's the exact same map.

I think it is, because isn't Eagles Nest the same map in regular FH except for FHSW conversion?

@ben, FHSW won't load FHR files in any way.

@crazy, maybe we can keep IR scope for Marder II, since real prototype with it was built:

I tested these latest versions:

Spurning_Fate-1945: Works. I didn't notice any issues except that the night visions are a bit buggy. Sometimes you can see the NV effect for a few more seconds after you exit a NV vehicle.

The_Attack_on_Carentan-1944: The push system works. Now it would be nice if that is indicated on the minimap too. There is one more issue. There is no flagpole or anything else to indicate where exactly the last flag is, and the capture area is very small. It would cause players to wander around looking for the capture area. I suggest adding a flagpole with a flag.

There are still kits on Fall Gelb without shovel zoom (shovels do have zoom right?)

@starking: Thank you! Carentan: you could mark the exact point of the flag on the map or set a flagpole.

I had no problems with Stashuv when we tested it a few days ago. Neither did the map lag nor did it crash when we capped north flag (I tested it without an S&T-pack).

It will be fixed in the final version of the map pack.

Edit: You seriously want to remove all the nightvision Panthers from Spurning Fate? I don't plan on playing on this map but this seems like a pretty hefty change and removes the inital intention and "unique-ness" of the map. It's like removing the Gigant from Crete or Kamikaze planes from Kiku Day2.

Please dont remove the weapons for night-fighting on Spurning fate. Without those, the map doesnt make any sense because it was developed to use those weapons!

If I remember correctly there is Jagdpanther with night vision + auto loader canon. Maybe it would be a little bit less extreme without the autoloader.
But I would also not remove all the night vision vehicles :/

Wait, wait. I removed the Panthers w/NV? If I did, I'm very sorry. That's not what I intended
EDIT: Not sure what you guys are on about. When I test my SSM in local there's still the Nightvision Panthers & Sdkfz 251 "Falke" and "Uhu". Are you guys referring to something else?
For clarification, when I said "unrealistic nightvision vehicles" I was talking about the Stug 3's, Pak 40's, Kubelwagons, Opel Blitz's, Jagdpanther's, etc. I guess I should have been more clear about that wacko

I've done Sittang Bridge now as well: https://drive.google.com/file....sharing

Changes:
-Replaced two Japanese trucks with a Type 89 Tank & Type 94 Tankette
-Replaced two Japanese jeeps with two Type 94 Tankettes
-Replaced one Ha-Go with a Type 92 "Heavy" Armoured Car
-Replaced one Ho-Ki (APC) with a Type 89 Tank

Basically all I did was replaced spawners, as that's all I really know how to do  shy
I think two Type 89's might be too much since the Japs also have a few Chi-Ha's, but including those the Japanese only have about four decent tanks on the map happy . Meanwhile, the Brits get five Stuarts and a few .50 cal APC's, which can easily kill the light tanks.

How far is the progress with the maps?

I am just curious for the current position, dont feel urged.

I was just about to ask that, marduk  tongue Afaik these maps are ready for release:
-Crete
-Fall Gelb
-Carentan
-Bastogne
-Zveroboy
-Sittang
-Spurning Fate
-Stashuv Area
-Trois Ponts(?)
-Foy Classic(?)
-Zielona Gora
-Spurning Fate Day
-Ocean Town
-Leyte Gulf Day 2
-Road to Ramelle(?)
-Operation Lilliput

Did I miss any? I'm not sure about the status of Eagles Nest, Trois Ponts, Foy Classic, or Stashuv and I don't know if we're still going to include Road to Ramelle in the final version.
We're definitely not going to include Blacknight, Merville, and Imphal, correct?

Report from the battlefields of Eagles Nest:
I am ready to release a new testversion. This time everything is implemented.
All that is needed is a little bit of weapon tweaking ( amount of cartridges/ammo on handweapons ).

What I want to ask: When would be a good date to do a big public testing? The mappack can't be released without the final version of Eagles Nest.
I know that the first battle of FHT takes place tomorrow. A fixed 'event' date is needed.. maybe along with the testing of other maps.

But we definitely need to test Eagles Nest more than once.
I havn't done any ticket bleed configuration yet...

@ marduk: Would be a good idea I guess.

Here is the second test version of it:

Eagles Nest-1945 FHSW testversion 2

As always put this file in your EA GAMES/Battlefield 1942/Mods/FHSW/Archives/bf1942/levels folder.

As you can see I have renamed it to Eagles Nest-1945 to avoid any bad circumstances if people already have that map from a different version.
The file size is reduced, because I have deleted all non-Conquest .con files and folders from the map data.

Pickup kits are set and I have done some weapon tweaking.
This test release is somewhat finished but in the end I could add more static objects to enhance gameplay mechanics.

We need to play some matches on this.
